The artichoke lamp was first released in 1958. The layers of overlapping sections that resembled the leaves of the artichoke lamp made it possible to create the effect of a chandelier, but with a contemporary twist. The design quickly became a favorite in many design circles, and has remained popular to this day. This high quality reproduction lamp is created by 72 leaves. The leaves shield the light bulb and redirect and reflect the light onto the other leaves creating a illumination. Each leaf is laser-cut for precision and is configured by hand. The Artichoke Leaf Lamp by Fine Mod Imports (FMI2000) is aptly suited to a dining room, entryway or reception desk. This is a high quality reproduction lamp.
